DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS - MOOSE JAW
CHILDREN - DEVELOPMENT assessments
Developmental Assessments provide a broader understanding of a child's delays or challenges within the context of the child's development and is most appropriate for children aged 0-5 years. Areas of assessment typically include behavior, communication skills, problem-solving, social skills, motor skills, and daily living skills. A child's social-emotional functioning and family life are also reviewed.
The purpose of this assessment is to provide families with an overview of where the child's skill development stands in comparison to other children his or her age in many areas. It includes recommendations for intervention, programming suggestions where appropriate along with behavior strategies for parents. Gaining insight into your child's possible developmental challenges early on can help facilitate early intervention services in areas of development that may need some extra support.
